Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about growing restaurant sales through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Toast, and direct online ordering.
Services & Fit
What we manage, who we help, and how we fit into your business.
What exactly does Blender Digital do?
We manage and grow your restaurant’s online ordering channels, including DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Toast. Managing these channels includes promotional campaign management, sponsored listings, menu and storefront optimization, responding to reviews, and handling errors and refund requests.
We also provide thorough monthly reporting and make ongoing performance improvements based on what we find.
Which restaurant delivery platforms do you manage?
We primarily manage DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Toast, direct online ordering systems such as Square and Clover, and catering platforms such as ezCater when applicable. The exact strategy depends on where your restaurant currently sells and where the strongest growth opportunities exist.
Is Blender Digital a traditional restaurant marketing agency?
Not exactly. Most agencies focus on social media, websites, photography, or broad advertising. We focus on the platforms where customers are already deciding what to order, with the goal of improving visibility, conversion, order volume, average order value, retention, and channel profitability.
Do you work with independent restaurants, franchises, and restaurant groups?
Yes. We work with single-location restaurants, individual franchisees, multi-unit operators, and restaurant groups. The strategy and reporting structure are adjusted to the size and needs of the business.
Who is Blender Digital a good fit for?
We are a strong fit for restaurant owners and operators who know their delivery channels could perform better but do not have the time or a dedicated team member to manage promotions, menus, sponsored listings, reviews, and ongoing optimization.
We work best with restaurants that already receive online orders, are open to testing, and care about growing sales without losing sight of profitability.
Results & Timelines
What performance can look like and how long meaningful improvement may take.
How quickly can we expect to see results?
Many restaurants begin seeing measurable changes within 30 to 60 days, especially when there are clear opportunities involving promotions, menu organization, sponsored listings, or storefront quality. More substantial growth usually requires consistent optimization over several months.
How much do you typically increase online ordering sales?
For approximately a dozen of our clients, monthly platform sales increased by about 3x on average within 3 to 6 months. You can see several of these outcomes on our Results page.
Individual results vary based on starting sales, market demand, ratings, operations, pricing, and promotional budget. This is our documented track record, not a guarantee.
What happens during the first month?
We review sales and order trends, average order value, menu structure, photos and descriptions, promotions, sponsored listings, ratings, fees, availability, competitor positioning, and new-versus-returning customer behavior. We then identify quick wins, correct avoidable issues, and establish a baseline.
Do you guarantee results?
No responsible agency should guarantee a specific result. We commit to active management, clear recommendations, ongoing testing, and decisions based on actual performance data, not guesswork.
How do you measure success?
Depending on the goal, we may track gross sales, net payout, orders, average order value, new and returning customers, promotion redemptions, ad spend, return on ad spend, ratings, cancellations, availability, menu performance, platform fees, and channel profit.
Promotions, Ads & Profitability
How we pursue growth without ignoring margins.
What kinds of restaurant promotions do you create?
Offers may include BOGO campaigns, spend-and-save discounts, new-customer offers, lapsed-customer campaigns, free delivery, happy-hour offers, item-specific discounts, day-of-week promotions, seasonal campaigns, and catering offers.
Will promotions hurt our profit margins?
They can when poorly structured. We account for food cost, platform fees, order minimums, eligibility, promotion stacking, payout, average order value, and likely long-term customer value. The goal is profitable growth, not impressive-looking revenue that loses money.
Do you manage sponsored listings and in-app advertising?
Yes. We review budget, targeting, return on ad spend, order volume, campaign structure, and whether paid visibility is creating meaningful incremental value.
Do you optimize the online menu?
Yes. We may recommend changes to categories, item order, names, descriptions, pricing, modifiers, add-ons, bundles, best-seller placement, photos, upsells, high-margin items, and catering packages.
Do you help with restaurant reviews and ratings?
Yes. We help create a consistent review-management process, respond appropriately, identify recurring complaints, and use review trends to uncover menu or operational problems.
Working Together
Investment, access, workload, communication, and next steps.
What level of investment and ROI should I expect?
For a single-location restaurant, the total investment typically ranges from $4,120 to $8,640 across a 4 or 6 month program, depending on the package selected.
Across our client programs, the average return has been approximately 1.5x in added channel profit, not just revenue. In practical terms, the added profit generated during the program has typically covered the program cost.
We do not offer programs beyond six months because our goal is to help clients grow and then confidently self-manage their channels. Use our Restaurant Delivery ROI Calculator to build a personalized baseline estimate and see whether Blender may be worth the investment for your restaurant.
Will we need to hire another employee?
No. Blender Digital acts as an extension of your team. Your team may occasionally need to approve offers, confirm pricing, provide menu information or photos, and address operational issues.
How much time will this require from me?
Usually not much after onboarding. Communication focuses on approvals, major recommendations, operational issues, and performance updates. We are here to take work off your plate, not create another job for you.
Do you need access to our platform accounts?
Yes. To properly manage and optimize your accounts, we need approved access to the relevant merchant dashboards. We recommend creating appropriate user access whenever the platform allows it.
Can you work with our existing marketing agency or social media team?
Yes. We often complement internal teams, social media managers, photographers, web agencies, and paid media partners. They may focus on awareness and content while we focus on turning online ordering platforms into stronger sales channels.
